Caregivers are spouses, partners, adult children, parents, other relatives, friends and neighbors.  These loved ones face a unique set of challenges and emotions, which may lead to a lack of self-care. Some may experience what is known as caregiver fatigue, which can leave you feeling burned out and overwhelmed.  Sometimes it might feel like you are the only one who is stepping up to help.  You might feel resentment toward the situation or even frustrated with your loved one. Don’t worry, these are normal feelings for caregivers to have.  Being a caregiver is an extremely difficult role and it is important for you to have support too.

With support groups, workshops, and social activities designed specifically for caregivers, you’ll find a community of people who have either gone through or are going through the same challenges as you.
